On the 7th of August, a sea turtle came ashore on Poniente Beach in Benidorm (Spain) to lay eggs. Authorities quickly activated the stranding protocol, and teams from various organizations, including the University of Valencia and the Benidorm City Council, coordinated the relocation of the nest, which was located just a few meters from the shoreline. The nest contained only 28 eggs, which were unable to maintain the necessary metabolic heat to survive on their own, and many had malformations. Experts decided to move the eggs to an incubator at the Oceanogràfic Foundation to ensure the possibility of their survival. It was a morning of teamwork, with everyone striving to ensure the viability of the nest. The efforts of all those involved in Benidorm were greatly appreciated.
