The “Rose” turtle, a female loggerhead, was released on October 15, 2023, after receiving rehabilitation at the marine turtle first-aid center at the Sfax Faculty of Science. The turtle was fitted with a satellite tag, which allows us to monitor its movements and uncover sea turtle migration routes and nesting sites, thereby enhancing scientific research in this field.

Ten days after Rose’s release from Cassino Beach in Sfax by the Life MedTurtles project team, her satellite transmitter indicated that she was moving along the coast near the city of Sfax.
