TED (Turtle Excluder Device), which was developed to prevent sea turtles and other vulnerable species from being caught in trawl nets is used as standard in some countries but its efficiency needs to be tested according to regions. With the LIFE MedTurtle Project, our partner DEKAMER continues to work to reduce the interaction of sea turtles with fishing boats. In this context, we continue to test the TED with voluntary fishermen.
