A photo of the return of the sea turtle “Daki,” which was released back into the sea from Kazma Beach in Baqabs on Saturday, November 11, 2023, by the LifeMedTurtles team at the Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte (FSB) and in collaboration with our Association for the Conservation of Wetland Areas in Southern Tunisia (ASZHST) and the North African Sea Turtle Network (NASTNET) under the supervision of expert Dr. Emad Al-Greibi. The turtle apparently made its way into the Mediterranean and is doing well.
