Since the beginning of 2023, two dead dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) have been found in Riccione and Pesaro (Italy). Their death and injuries were caused by gillnets. Fondazione Cetacea in Riccione has started the activities within the Life Medturtle project to reduce dolphin and sea turtles bycatch.
