Another nest in Spain. This time close to Valencia, at the beach of Cap Blanc, Cullera (Valencia Province).

Last early morning a sport fisherman activated the nesting protocol calling the 112 to report the presence of a sea turtle. UVEG team (Universitat de València – UV), with the local government and other institutions, managed to detect both, the clutch and the turtle.

The turtle was satellite tagged and we will follow her movements in the following days. Last, the eggs have been translocated to a protected beach, where they will hatch.

This season is being amazing, with 6 clutches and almost 20 nesting activities detected in Spain’s Mediterranean coasts (and counting).
