Today the staff of the Life MedTurtles project received a report from the mobile phones distributed by HAS to the fishermen about some sea turtles (Caretta caretta and Chelonia mydas), which were stuck in the nets in the Patoku lagoon. Shortly after receiving the report, the Life MedTurtles staff went to the area to rescue the turtles which were taken to the Sea Turtle Research and First Aid Center in Patok. After its rehabilitation, these turtles were marked and released back into the sea.
