This Action will upgrade 4 existing facilities, create 2 new first aid center and set up efficient rescue networks in Turkey, Tunisia, Albania, Italy. This will allow to promptly find, rescue and rehabilitate turtles stranded, floating or directly brought by fishers. Such turtles are commonly injured by fishing gears and this action will (i) save more turtles, (ii) provide information on the most problematic gears and areas, and (iii) contribute to awareness (E2) and information campaigns for fishers (C2). The involved Beneficiaries will become part of the specific network set up by LIFE EUROTURTLES and will benefit from specific expertise on how to set up facilities and networks.
